Age requirements & younger players

Waypoint is for ages 13 and up. We ask for a birthdate at sign-up and apply extra protections for younger members so the platform stays welcoming and safe.

How we protect younger members

• Hidden from public discovery — minors don't appear in the open player directory or map.
• Safer messaging — direct messaging for teens is limited to reduce contact from strangers.
• Content ratings — sessions and content carry an age rating, and mature content is kept away from minors.
• AI Game Master — when a minor is at the table, the AI GM keeps everything strictly age-appropriate.

Content ratings

A rating (for example, everyone / teen / mature) signals the tone to expect. Hosts set it when they create a session, and ratings help match players to games that suit them.
